Sophos have already been mentioned.
Trend Micro offer PC-cillin, also a free online scan of your PC. Think you've got a virus? Think you've not got a virus? Try it out.
AVG Antivirus System - you may be able to use this product for free - check whether you qualify.
MessageLabs - provide companies with a variety of e-mail screening services. Check in here and watch them trapping viruses around the world. Great for alerts and up to date stats. O
Network Associates who produce the McAfee product - probably have the best online virus library.
Symantec's Norton Antivirus - offers you free online virus checking and a free online security check.
Panda Security has a range of antivirus products for home and business
Personal firewalls - keep undesirables out of your PC while you're online:
Zonelabs offer a free software firewall for home use, and a range of professional products.
Sygate offer a free software firewall for home use, and a range of professional products.
Keep spyware at bay - :Lavasoft offer Ad Aware free or in paid versions.
Spybot Search and Destroy - free but donations invited.
